Maurice Hamlin won the Ernie Gare Award for BC Hockey Coach of the Year, which is awarded to BC’s top coach who shows leadership to players, demonstrates skill development and has a sound philosophy. This means Maurice has won RMHA’s Coach of the Year Award, PCAHA’s Coach of the Year Award and BC Hockey’s Coach of the Year Award! A triple winner this year!

Congratulations to Bantam A1 players Carter Popoff, Justin Uyeno and Trevor Okino.They have been selected to participate in the U16 BC Cup in Prince George in April.

Richmond Minor Hockey Association is pleased to announce the hiring of:
Al Wozney and Glenn Wheeler as Executive Directors of Hockey Instruction and Player and Coach Development. As Hockey Development Coordinators, Glenn and Al will oversee all aspects of Player and Coach Development with onice training for each and every player in RMHA – from H1 to Juvenile, and from A1 to C teams. They will also coordinate coach development with RMHA; working with all coaches to improve their instructional strategies and increase their understanding of individual and team tactics at all levels. Through the concentrated efforts of these two professionals, RMHA is ensuring that every player and coach will receive the necessary instruction to enable our players and teams to meet their fullest potential and to have fun playing hockey – the best game in the world!

Congratulations to the Richmond Juvenile A1 team, who won Provincials with a 4-1 win over North Vancouver.
The Juvenile team went undefeated during the week to win the championship!

RMHA is pleased to announce that it has a new $1,000 Scholarship to offer this year.
THE MAJORMAKI FOUNDATION MINOR HOCKEY SCHOLARSHIP AWARD - This award and scholarship, established in 2009, is made by way of a generous donation from
the Majormaki Foundation.
