Every year RMHA honors some of its finest players, officials, coaches, managers and volunteers. Some awards are chosen by players or coaches, others by Executive members, however there are many that are chosen by the members. So this is your opportunity to nominate that special person!
Nominations are now being accepted for the following awards:
1. Excellence in Coaching Awards
This award is given to coaches who best exemplify the essentials of coaching – communication, instruction, player development, fair play, sportsmanship, leadership and organization.
2. Coach of the Year
This award is given to that one coach who, in addition to the attributes listed for an Excellence in Coaching Award, goes above and beyond in his/her effort to maximize the players’ enjoyment and enhancement of the game of hockey.
3. Bob O’Bara Memorial Award
This award is given to an adult volunteer who has contributed far and beyond the anticipated levels of time, devotion and loyalty to the improvement of hockey in RMHA.
4. Team Manager of the Year
This award is given to that team manager who best exemplifies organization, dependability and dedication to his or her team, above and beyond the anticipated level.
5. Safety Person Award
This award is given to that team HCSP person who best exemplifies organization, dependability and dedication to his or her team.
6. Service Recognition Awards
These awards are given to those individuals, in any capacity, who over the years, have provided “service to RMHA which is above and beyond”.
